Argyle™ Thoracic Catheter, Straight, 24 Fr x 20" is a sterile, single-use thoracic drainage catheter designed for effective evacuation of air, blood, and other fluids from the pleural cavity. Manufactured from clear thermosensitive PVC, the catheter softens at body temperature to enhance patient comfort while maintaining the rigidity required for controlled insertion. The transparent construction allows continuous observation of drainage characteristics during clinical use.

The catheter incorporates Radiopaque Sentinel Line™ tubing and a Sentinel Eye™ catheter design for reliable visualization under X-ray, enabling accurate placement verification after insertion. Smooth side eyes and an open distal tip promote consistent drainage flow while minimizing the risk of tissue obstruction. Numeric depth markings at 2 cm intervals assist clinicians in achieving accurate placement and monitoring insertion depth throughout the procedure.

A beveled connector end can be trimmed to create an integral funnel connector, supporting a secure and leak-resistant connection with compatible drainage tubing. The design helps maintain an efficient closed drainage system while reducing the potential for accidental disconnection. The catheter is intended for use in thoracic drainage procedures performed in emergency, surgical, and critical care environments.
